Children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in the Strictly Pennine Dance Festival. They learnt their dance routine during the after school 'Bodyrockers' session and performed it on stage at the Lawrence Batley theatre in front of a huge crowd of pround parents, carers and teachers. The children did a fantastic job, remembered their routine and were extremely brave and mature. Their behaviour back stage was also impeccable. Well done to all those children who took part.

Our latest theme days were on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July 15. The children all created their own passport before entering Marsden International Airport in order to catch their flight with’ Woolly Wings’ . Everyone took part in the in flight safety checks led by a ‘real air hostess’!!. All staff became cabin crew led by Captain Swallow. Children spent the two days finding out about 6 different countries. They travelled to Greece, Spain, Italy, Caribbean, Russia and the USA. Children tasted traditional foods, played well know games, examined famous landmarks and worked in the styles of artists from each country. Thanks to Kirklees catering staff lunch was also served on airline trays to add to the experience.
Nursery also took their passports and boarded a flight as they thought about holidays. They enjoyed a beach party and ice cream from the ice cream van.
Everyone has so much they didn’t realise just how much they were learning.
