Red Nose Day - Friday 24th March

The children in Class 1CD wore red clothes to raise funds for Comic Relief.  They wore their red noses and some went further and painted their faces too!

Project Sport

Project Sport have been working with the children in 1CD teaching them gymnastics.  The children have learnt a variety of gymnastic skills and the importance of good body posture.

World Book Day - Friday 5th March

The children had fun on World Book Day dressing up as their favourite story book characters.  They enjoyed sharing their books with other children in the class.

Wednesday 15th February

The archery with Project Sport has concluded and the children have enjoyed the experiences of learning a new sport and have improved their distance and accuracy skills.

1st Half Spring Term - GROW session

The children in 1CD have enjoyed gardening with GROW.  They are preparing potatoes for planting and have them to chit on the classroom window sill.  They have also been lucky enough to harvest leeks from the playground beds.

The children in 1CD have been learning about the seasons and the different types of weather experienced throughout the year.  As part of our topic we have made a 'living pictogram' showing the months and seasons in which we were born.

1st Half Autumn Term - P.E

The children in 1CD have really enjoyed learning some football skills with Project Sport such as dribbling, defending and goalkeeping.

The children have also worked well together to learn a range of basketball skills and apply them in team games.

Wednesday 19th October - Harvest Festival

This half term all the children from Marsden Infant and Nursery School went to St Bartholomews Church to celebrate the Harvest Festival.  It was a wonderful venue for the children to perform a variety of songs, poems and recitals.  Each class as well as the choir and drumming club contributed to the special service.
