Working with Parents/Carers
Parent-Teacher Consultation Meetings are held twice a year, when teachers report on children’s progress and set targets for future progress. In addition, a written report is provided during the school year.
To keep parents informed about school life, we produce a regular Newsletter and share this with parents/carers via email. We also have a dedicated Facebook page and Twitter page. Our school website has a section titled 'Parent's Information', on which we publish copies of all letters and newsletters.
During the year, several other events and meetings are held, to which parents are most welcome. We hope you will try to attend the functions held in school as this is beneficial to your child.
The staff and the Head teacher will always discuss concerns with parents as they arise. An appointment is always preferable so that we can give you our undivided attention, but where emergencies occur or problems are of a minor nature, we will do our best to see you without previous arrangements.
We would appreciate your co-operation in informing us of any changes or difficulties in home circumstances as these may adversely affect your child in school. Any information of a personal or private nature is naturally treated in the strictest confidence.
We encourage parents to come into school and to be fully involved in their children’s education. We believe we are partners in your child’s learning journey.
