School Parliament
In our school we have a number of teams who have been elected and therefore chosen to represent all pupils.
In the 2026-27 academic year we have;

Friends of Marsden
Each one of these teams are helping to raise awareness of their subject and ultimately celebrate the amazing work which happens in our school and keep making changes to continue to develop their areas.

Electing our School Council is a fantastic way for our children to experience democracy in action. From an early age, children learn that their voice matters, that everyone has the right to share their ideas and that we can make decisions together through listening, voting and respecting the views of others.
This supports learning across EYFS and KS1, helping children develop confidence, responsibility and an understanding of the wider world and their role within our school community.
We cannot wait to hear the children's ideas and see the positive difference our new School Council will make this year! 🌟🗳️💬

Eco Warriors
We are delighted to introduce our Eco Warriors for 2026–27!
Lissy, Dilip, Rowan, Eddie and Teddy.
A huge thank you and well done to all the children who applied for this important role. We were incredibly impressed by the wonderfully insightful and informative posters they created, sharing their ideas about how we can look after our school environment and make a positive difference to our planet. 🌱
Our Eco Warriors are our young environmental champions, helping us to think carefully about how we can make our Infant and Nursery School greener and more sustainable. They help to encourage everyone to reduce waste, recycle, save energy, care for our school grounds and protect the natural world, as well as sharing their own ideas for future eco projects.
Their work will compliment learning across EYFS and KS1, particularly within Science and Geography, as children learn about plants, animals and habitats, seasonal change, the local environment and how our everyday choices can affect the world around us. It will also give our Eco Warriors opportunities to develop their confidence, communication, teamwork and sense of responsibility.
We are very proud of everyone who put themselves forward and can't wait to see our 2026–27 Eco Warriors in action! 🌎🌿🐝Small actions can make a BIG difference! 💚
Reading Ambassadors
Our Reading Ambassadors have a special and important role in school.
They promote reading for fun, help to select new books for our school, help to scan books in and out of our library and share their favourite books and authors with their classmates.
We are very proud of the work they do.
