School Uniform
We have a very simple school uniform that we require children to wear when attending Marsden Infant and Nursery School. We believe that a school uniform allows children to feel part of their school community, provides practical clothing for the demands of school life.
The uniform is as follows:
- Red sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without the school logo).
- Grey or black school trousers, shorts, pinafore dress or skirt.
- White or red polo shirt (with or without the school logo).
- Red checked summer dress can be worn during the summer term.
- Children must wear sensible full shoes which are suitable for outdoor play (no open toe sandals please).
School Uniform Policy for parents
Children must wear clothing that is easy for them to manage themselves as we will encourage them to change independently into their PE kit. As space is limited within our cloakrooms, we request that children bring PE kits in compact drawstring bags rather than bulky rucksacks.
Also, please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child’s name so that we can reunite any items of lost property to the rightful owner.
Uniform Exchange is a Kirklees based charity who recycles school uniform. They do this byasking families to pass on items their children have grown out of. They then sort, clean, mend and pass on to other families who may need help with obtaining school uniform. If you would benefit from their support and would like to request items of school uniform, please to visit their website and complete an order form.
Marsden also has a couple of well-stocked charity shops who often hold pre-loved school uniform. They are The Crossroads Shop on Peel Street and West Yorkshire Dog Rescue on Brougham Road.
In April 2025 our school logo was updated.
Please note, there is no requirement for existing pupils to purhcase new uniform displaying the new logo. We accept that change will happen over time.
