Nursery Admissions
Children can join our Nursery from the term following their 3rd birthday.
All children over the age of 3 are entitled to 15 hours of childcare (known as the Universal Offer). In addition, some families may be entitled to an additional 15 hours (known as the Extended Offer), providing they meet the Government's eligibility criteria.
There are a number of patterns of attendance offered within our Nursery setting aimed to suit family preferences. They inlcude mornings, afternoons, block start (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning), block end (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday) and where eligible full time (30 hours). Whilst every effort is made to accomodate requests, places within our Nursery setting are limited.
The Nursery day is structured as follows:
Morning session - 8.45am to 11.45am
Lunch Club - 11.45am- 12.15pm
Afternoon session - 12.15pm to 3.15pm
'Lunch Club'
Lunchclub is the 30 minute period between the morning session ending and the afternoon session starting; 11.45am-12.15pm. During Lunchclub our Early Years practitioners, who are familiar to the children, will support them to have their lunch.
This lunchtime care is outside the 15 or 30 hours of Free Early Education that children are entitled to so there will be a small fee for this service; £2.70 per lunchclub.
There is no obligation for children to remain on the school site for the lunchtime period, parents/carers may collect children at the end of the morning and return them for the afternoon. Lunchclubs must be paid for at the start of each term and parents will be invoiced directly. Lunch is not provided, therefore children will require a packed lunch.
If you are interested in a place within our Nursery, please contact school direct to register your child.
