Headteachers Welcome

I hope our website provides you with a flavour of the exciting opportunities our school has to offer. Through the hard work, dedication and commitment of our staff and governors we aim to provide an inclusive education that equips our children to successfully meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.  This is succinctly expressed  in our vision statement, “Learning together, Learning for life”

We are committed to continuing to raise academic standards by ensuring our curriculum is flexible, relevant and constantly reviewed to make sure that the children's needs, together with the requirements of the National Curriculum and National Strategies for Literacy and Numeracy, are being met.  Our creative curriculum is child-interest led with a focus on the development of key skills. We value first-hand practical experience highly and wherever possible strive to draw on the excellent opportunities offered within the busy local village of Marsden.

Confidence in school comes from knowledge and understanding about what is happening in it and we feel that this is best achieved when a strong partnership exists between home and school. We actively encourage you to become fully involved in your child’s learning and the broader life of the school.

We are always happy to receive enquiries about availability of places in school and to show prospective parents around our school

At Marsden Infant and Nursery School, staff, children, parents and governors work together to create a learning environment in which all members feel safe and secure, valued and respected. Together we will create an atmosphere which is challenging, stimulating and exciting, and where everyone is encouraged and supported to achieve their own potential.
